ACLAS Technics, the structural component specialists, have become the latest organisation to sign up to the ELMS Aviation application.

The cloud-based competence management system will provide ACLAS Technics, an EASA Part 145, FAA Air Agency and TCCA CAR 573 approved organisation, with a solution to enhance their competency and compliance systems and to aid in the development of their highly skilled staff.

The ELMS Aviation application allows every member of the organisation, working in an engineering, planning, design or quality capacity to build a complete profile of their competence in accordance with EASA requirements and industry best practice.

In addition, every member of the ACLAS Technics team, involved in hands-on maintenance activities will be able to log their specific task experience.

Commenting on this development, ACLAS Technics Managing Director Charles Henery said:

“We are looking forward to bringing on board the ELMS system at ACLAS Technics. The ability to make safety critical decisions, evaluate and manage personnel competence based on accurate, real-time data is key to the ethos of continual improvement and development at ACLAS. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the ELMS team for the professionalism and commitment shown during the implementation phase.”

Training and registration has been undertaken at the ACLAS Technics facility in Edinburgh, UK.

Richard Mintern, Chairman of ELMS Aviation, commented:

“We are delighted that ACLAS Technics has chosen to adopt the ELMS Competence Management System and we are looking forward to supporting their ambitious business plans, underpinned by a focus on robust quality management and efficiency. This investment in state-of-the art technology will further help to differentiate ACLAS from the competitors and demonstrate the specialist skills and capabilities of their workforce to their expanding portfolio of clients.”
